The National Endowment for the Arts' annual " Portfolio Day" is a chance for artists to show off their work to college counselors and art experts from more than 30 colleges and universities, the Times Herald-Record reports.
Last Friday, 25 students from Warwick Valley Central Schools in New York's Hudson Valley took part.
"During Portfolio Day, experienced mentors in the visual arts world critique students' portfolios and shared concise, actionable feedback and suggestions with them about their work, careers available to them in the art field, and the college application process as it relates to aspiring artists," says the high school's art teacher.
