That's what a Scottish government official had to say about this year's recipients of the Social Enterprise Schools Awards, which honor schools that have gone above and beyond in the areas of social responsibility, creativity, and environmental awareness.
The Guardian reports that 132 schools across Scotland were honored at a ceremony last week.
Among the winners: St.
Augustine's Primary School in Cumbernauld, which held a teddy bear picnic to support youth mental health and protect the environment with recycled materials; Stepps Primary School in Coatbridge, which made bandanas, headbands, and bags to donate to a local hospital; and St.
Augustine's Primary School in Airdrie, which sold seasonal goods to support mental health and well-being and delivered care packages to babies and their families at a local maternity unit. Read the Entire Article
