Uc Davis Researchers Lead Innovative Work on Kcnt1-Related Epilepsy

A UC Davis postdoctoral researcher and her mentor have received two key funding boosts.

The grants will advance their work into the rare neurodevelopmental condition KCNT1-related epilepsy.

The foundation notes that there are likely far more people affected, as testing is still not widespread.

The researchers hope to identify biomarkers that correlate with certain stimuli.

They have built on that work by using EEG to study seizures, sleep cycles and related brain activity.
