It's not every day you get the chance to sit down with a StoryCorpsCorps volunteer and talk about your favorite songs, but that's exactly what happened to Michael Jewett.
The Michigan man, who's been touring as a jazz guitarist and singer since the age of 5, was doing a story about his family's struggle to make ends meet when he was stopped by a man in a baseball cap.
"He said, 'I'm from Detroit and I'm here to help you,'" Jewett recalls.
